Strengthening Family Ties

Dorje Shugden has helped my family and I to accept and face challenges or obstacles that arise.  By practising Dorje Shugden, I have realised that when we do his practice diligently, in the beginning our bad karma will arise in that we will have to face a lot of challenges, obstacles and unfavourable experiences in worldly matters, like relationships and financials. Having faced such experiences, my family is now much more harmonious and at peace.

When we started practising and having faith in Dorje Shugden, many afflictions and negative situations arose because of our own self-created negative karma. As we experienced these negative karmas, eventually we had less obstacles and the ride was less bumpy.

Dorje Shugden has also helped me to create the conditions whereby I am now able to work for Dharma. I have always wanted to be a full-time staff at Kechara, but in the earlier years I had a lot of resistance, and my husband was not supportive of the idea since he wanted me to take care of the family full time. As for myself, I did not have the confidence that I would be able to work for Dharma full time and also manage the family and my children. I had a lot of fear and doubts too. As I practised, learned and began to have a better understanding of Dorje Shugden’s practice, I realised the importance of having a Dharma Protector – it helps to clear the obstacles and create the conditions for us to do Dharma work if our motivation is sincere.

When I am faced with challenges in my relationship with my husband, I would usually become very angry, frustrated and unhappy. As I continued to practise Dorje Shugden, I am now able to dispel these emotions, and have become much calmer and less emotional with the situation. As my condition changed, I realised the condition of my family also changed to become more harmonious and with less conflict. In addition, I am also a much calmer and happier person.

Dorje Shugden is very swift in his actions. There was a time when I requested assistance from Dorje Shugden to help my husband who was experiencing disturbances from a spirit who had been following him. These disturbances had made my husband an angrier, blameful as well as revengeful person and caused him to be influenced by bad company. This caused disharmony and friction in our relationship and within the family. After receiving blessings and guidance from Dorje Shugden, he is now a calmer person.

At his workplace, my husband was also facing a lot of challenges from his colleagues and superiors. Upon practising Dorje Shugden, the outcome of his work and projects have since been much smoother. When his organisation was going through a restructuring, his job position was at risk but somehow fortunately, he received resources and help from the head of another department who recognised his capability and ability which has helped him to retain his job.

My youngest son who is a special needs child has also benefitted in that he is able to chant Dorje Shugden’s mantra on his own accord and thus, has become a calmer and more attentive boy.
